With a Seidentopf trinocular head, Koehler 5W LED illumination, LWD quintuple nosepiece delivering 100x–640x magnification, and a 72mm long working distance that accommodates tall culture vessels and 96-well plates — it delivers fatigue-free, high-contrast observation. The GBS A14.2603-TR is a professional trinocular inverted biological microscope built for sustained cell and tissue observation. With objectives below the stage, a 72mm long working distance, and Koehler 5W LED illumination — it handles culture flasks, petri dishes, and 96-well plates with ease.
Seidentopf Trinocular Head, 45° Inclined
Light-split switch E100:P0 / E20:P80 routes light fully to eyepieces for observation or splits to the camera port for imaging. IPD adjustable 48–76mm. Diopter-adjustable WF10x/22mm eyepieces for spectacle wearers.
Koehler 5W LED Illumination
Uniform, adjustable-intensity LED transmitted light powered via safe low-voltage adapter (100–240V input, 5V output). Supports outdoor and power-bank use. Cooler and more consistent than halogen alternatives.
LWD Quintuple Nosepiece — Infinity Plan Semi-APO Objectives
Standard configuration includes 10x/0.25, 20x/0.45, and 40x/0.65 L Plan FL objectives. Optional 4x and phase contrast objectives for expanded capability. Coaxial coarse & fine focusing with elasticity adjustment.
72mm Long Working Distance Condenser
LWD condenser N.A. 0.3 with 72mm clearance (with condenser) and up to 195mm without condenser. Accommodates tall culture vessels including Erlenmeyer flasks, T-flasks, and deep well plates.
210×241mm Mechanical Stage — 96-Well Plate Ready
Large mechanical stage with Ø110mm round slide holder. Optional attachable stage for 96-well plates (128×80mm range), culture dish holders in 35mm, 54mm, and 65mm sizes, and universal holder for non-standard vessels.
Upgradeable to Fluorescence Microscopy
The A14.2603-TR can be upgraded to the A16.2614 inverted fluorescence platform with B/G or B/G/U/UV filter sets, 100W mercury or 5W LED lamp houses — all available as optional accessories from GBS.

With the standard WF10×/22mm eyepieces and the included 10×, 20×, and 40× objectives, total magnification ranges from 100× to 400×. Adding the optional WF20×/12mm eyepiece extends this to 640×. An optional 4×/0.11 objective further extends the lower end to 40×.
In an inverted microscope the objectives are below the stage, pointing upward. This lets you observe living cells in standard culture vessels (petri dishes, flasks, well plates) from underneath without disturbing or inverting the sample. The 72mm long working distance accommodates tall containers — including Erlenmeyer flasks and T-75 culture flasks.
Yes. An optional attachable mechanical stage (moving range 128×80mm) accommodates standard 96-well plates. The standard stage (210×241mm) with Ø110mm round slide holder and 54mm culture dish holder is included. Holders for 35mm, 65mm dishes, blood cell counters, and a universal holder are available as optional accessories.
Yes. Optional phase contrast objectives (L Plan FL PHP 20×/0.45 and 40×/0.65) combined with the phase contrast centering telescope (11×) and annular spot sliders allow phase contrast observation — ideal for unstained living cells such as tissue culture and microbiology specimens.
Yes. The trinocular camera port with light-split switch (E100:P0 / E20:P80) accepts C-mount adapters in 0.5×, 0.75×, and 1.0× (all focus-adjustable). Connect USB 3.0, HDMI, or Wi-Fi digital cameras for live imaging and documentation.
Yes. The A14.2603-TR can be upgraded to the full A16.2614 inverted fluorescence platform. Options include: A16.2614-L2 (B & G filters, 5W LED) and A16.2614-L4 (B, G, U, UV filters, 5W LED). Mercury lamp-based upgrades (A16.2614-2 / -4) are also available through GBS.
